The Love of the Father

Parable of the Lost Son
Luke 15:11-32
Jesus is telling the story for us to get a revelation of the Father, not the prodigal son.

The prodigal son felt he should earn the love of his father by working. He did not need to earn it. His father would not let him earn it. Neither do we. The love of the Father comes through grace.

Father is not a fault finder. He has compassion. The Father was rejected, he lost some of his possessions. The son got it wrong. Father loved.

The father embraced his son and kissed him over and over again. Such powerful love! All the hugging and kissing happened before the son repented.

The Father loves us with unmerited love. Under grace, we are supplied perfection through the finished work of the Cross.
